During a sabbatical in Boston, I focused on street and bird photography while also building Instagram accounts centered around my work. Over time, the accounts grew organically through consistent sharing, community engagement and features.

@WICKEDCUTEWORLD

In 2019, I moved to Boston and took a sabbatical and ended up focusing on photography full time. What began as a creative reset quickly turned into an immersive crash course in outdoor, natural-light photography.

To share my work, I launched the Instagram account @wickedcuteworld, documenting the city through street photography around Boston. Within six months, the account grew to nearly 3,000 followers organically.

During that time, my photography was featured by publication accounts including Boston Magazine, Yankee Magazine and many others. I also collaborated with local businesses on sponsored content and worked as a paid brand ambassador for Bumble.

@WICKEDCUTEBIRDS

In early 2020, I became interested in birding and launched a second Instagram account focused entirely on bird photography.

During this time, I studied under renowned bird photographer Scott Keys through in-the-field workshops, critique sessions and Photoshop training.

The account quickly grew to nearly 2,000 followers organically with a highly engaged audience.

The experience eventually helped lead to a role at Wildlife Acoustics, where I combined my interests in wildlife, photography and marketing.
